Manufacturers are now producing keyboard covers in an attempt to help you personalise your keyboard. These click onto the keyboard in a similar fashion to a mobile phone cover. You can also purchase large buttoned keyboards that help visually impaired and disabled people use it. There are also 'speaking' keyboards and Braille keyboards on the market that assist partially sighted and blind people.

Computer keyboards do get dirty very easily because the surface is in constant contact with your hands. Keyboard maintenance is straight forward. If you have a tin of compressed air use it to blast out debris from between the keys. Then wipe the keys over with a cleaning wipe or cotton bud soaked in water. Don't eat or drink around the keyboard. Don't leave a drink on top of your monitor. Spillages are the number one cause of keyboard failure.
